Hot Haircuts for Summer 2015

Summer HairSummer is a great time to change up your hairstyle and opt for a shorter style to combat the heat. With the first day of summer only a few weeks away, check out these summer haircut ideas from Harper’s Bazaar:

Layers

Layers are a popular way to add volume and waves to summer hair. Allover layers work on hairstyles shoulder-length or longer, making hair playful and free. Top break up straight, long hair, add angled layers at the chin, collarbone and chest.

Bangs

If you don’t want to lose overall length, but still want to make a change, go for bangs. Whether they are straight or swept to the side, bangs will frame your face and make your style feel fresh and new, just like the summer season.

Go Short

Both the pixie cut and bob are in this summer. Side-swept bangs and layers are two popular additions to these cuts. Both styles frame the face well and provide relief from the summer heat. The lob (a shoulder-length bob) is another great shorter option if you still want to be able to put your hair in a simple up-do on the hottest days of the season.

Regardless of the cut you choose for summer, be sure to think about how much work you want to put into your hair during the summer months. If you like to skip the heat of a blow dryer, curling iron, etc. during these sweltering months, go for a simple cut that will look good with or without a lot of styling put into it each day.
